I wanted to say I Drink Alone by George Thorogood, because that is my all time favorite song when I am drinking (I don't usually drink alone, but it's a good bar song). Unfortunately it was recorded in 1985. One of my FAVORITE singers is Van Morrison. In 1975 when Kevin and I first started dating we were in Two Guys From Italy Pizza and he played Brown Eyed Girl (1967) on the juke box and told me that was my song :) I was in love.
ReplyDeleteOn a less personal note, the two songs that I remember being '70's were Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive (Femminism in th 70's - 1978) and Lady Marmalade by Patti Labelle (1975).
